The Jordan Binion Project's mission is to bring awareness to mental health through education.

About the Jordan Binion Project admin
The Jordan Binion project provides mental health educational presentations to high school students.
Our program has three main areas of focus:
1) Education regarding the early warning signs and symptoms associated with major mental illnesses such as Major Depressive Disorder, various anxiety disorders, Bi-polar Disorder and Schizophrenia.
2) Stigma reduction.
3) Hope for recovery/the fact that an individual can lead a productive and successful life despite a diagnosis of mental illness.
If it was easy to “just get over it” there wouldn’t be 57.7 million people in the US with a mental health disorder. We need your support, not your criticism.
Our Presentation takes approximately 55 minutes and is offered FREE OF CHARGE to any high school, public or private and community youth groups. We believe that it is extremely important to educate young adults on this subject matter because most mental illnesses begin developing between the ages of 15 and 24. Research indicates that early intervention and treatment are paramount to successful recovery for individuals that have mental illness.
