Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) is an 8-hour training that builds understanding of the importance of early intervention and teaches the risk factors and warning signs of mental illness common among adolescents, including anxiety disorders, depression, psychosis, eating disorders, and substance use disorders. Role-playing and simulations help participants learn how to assess a mental health crisis; provide initial help and connect young people to professional, peer, social and self-help care.
